Desi Canadian creators’ original multilingual travel media production surpasses 500,000 views, highlighting destinations and communities filmed across Canada
The announcement follows continued growth of the Kapoor Reels digital travel content platform, which publishes travel-focused made in Canada content and cultural storytelling filmed across Canada.
The production was created by Canadian filmmaker and creator duo CM Kapoor and FT Fernandes and combines original music with travel footage captured in multiple Canadian provinces. The project was developed as a travel storytelling initiative intended to showcase destinations, cultural experiences, festivals, landscapes, and communities across Canada.
According to Kapoor Reels, the approximately 14-minute production includes footage filmed at numerous Canadian locations and incorporates multiple languages and dialects, including Hindi, English, French, Punjabi, Gujarati, Bengali, Marathi, Konkani, Haryanvi, Hyderabadi, and Bihari expressions.
The creators stated that the project was independently produced without major studio backing. Writing, filming, editing, music production, and creative development were completed by the two-person team.
The project was created to document Canada's destinations, cultures, and travel experiences through music and visual storytelling from the lens of Desi Travelers, said CM Kapoor, founder of Kapoor Reels.
In addition to the viewing milestone, the creators recently participated in an interview with Radio Toronto, where they discussed the development of the project and the process behind producing travel-focused content across Canada.
As part of its broader travel storytelling initiative, Kapoor Reels has produced a collection of travel episodes documenting destinations and experiences across Canada, including winter landscapes, seasonal festivals, cultural events, and outdoor recreational activities. The content highlights various regions of the country through independent travel filmmaking and visual storytelling.
According to CM Kapoor, Canada's winter season continues to attract visitors from around the world who participate in festivals and outdoor activities, making it an important aspect of the country's tourism and cultural landscape. The travel series reflects the creators' ongoing efforts to document Canada's diverse communities, multicultural experiences, and regional attractions through creator-led digital media productions.
Kapoor Reels reports that its digital media platform has accumulated more than 390,000 YouTube subscribers and over 4.6 million views across its content library, which includes more than 150 travel-related episodes and documentaries focused on Canadian destinations and experiences.
The creators stated that they are continuing to develop additional travel storytelling projects while exploring opportunities for distribution across digital and streaming platforms.
